Other information: A unique production of small-batch rosé. Syrah and Pinot Noir from a 30 year-old Macedon vineyard, where a 2014 attempt to graft from the former to the latter was only partially successful, resulting in a roughly fifty-fifty field blend.
It is a happy accident. The two varieties are intertwined in full expression.
Handpicked for rosé with depth and proportion. Whole-bunch pressed, the pink juice was fermented cold, before 8 months on lees in neutral, large-format oak. Spice, drive and acidity from the Syrah, which ripens a little slower. Ripe berry fruit from the Pinot Noir, which forges ahead.
